Whenever I feel down, I know I can look at that letter and remember that not only did someone value me, he valued me enough to say it.  That is truly a commodity in short supply.

		<description>I agree that the real test of leadership is the ability to lead without a title.  I would go as far as to say that if you can&#039;t lead without a title you can&#039;t lead.  At best you can manage, which isn&#039;t always bad, but it isn&#039;t leadership.  For this reason I absolutely refuse to promote to a leadership position anyone who isn&#039;t already showing leadership, no matter how well they may do at their other responsibilities.</description>
